# Connect from another network

Can I control Screenly from another network. For example from the place where I am on vacation.

yes, if you have vpn or port forwarding on, the easiest thing is to run the balena version of screenly and turn on public URL…

I have openvpn and it works very well for things like this, accessing devices on your network from coffee shops, vacation etc. I recommend static IP for your screenly device.
