We just released 2026.08.1.
The biggest change is really a completely overhauled CEC (TV power management) support. It is a bit experimental so we would love people to chime in if this works or doesn’t work!
Although I’ve just upgraded directly to 2026.08.2 I instantly tried this. The setup is a Pi4 with an older 32 inch TV by Telefunken (around 10 years old) as the monitor. CEC works. I can turn the TV on and off from the settings page.
Kind of. But it depends. CEC is very inconsistently implemented across TVs and manufacturers.. Speaking to other users, for many it it just works. For others, it doesn’t.
