Ok, I left the screenly pi running for the week I was on vacation… I just checked on it now, both uploaded assets(images) and all HTTPS URLs were running… no TLS error given, no black screen…
I can now confidently say that if others add this load_error line and they still get the TLS error, then it means that whatever I did with the cacert.pem file and certifi library are the real fix. So only one way to find out, I will do PR for this now.
