One of the assets I display is a web page that refreshes itself every minute with http-equiv=‘refresh’. This is on a 5 minutes duration in Anthais (chippingsodburycc.co.uk/ss/ss.php) . A second asset is a logo with a duration of 2secs.
At times the “To manage the content on the screen, just …” page is displayed.
I think this is when the page refreshes and that it stays displayed until the 5 minutes is met.
Am I causing this to be displayed? What can I do to stop it?
I am rewriting the source page but would like to make sure it i optimal for Anthais.
I have updated to the latest version, although the management screen is still telling me to update.
@backfour94, let me try to replicate the issue on my end.
While I’m at it, I would like to ask a few questions:
- Could you provide a screenshot (or a picture from your phone camera) of the display showing “To manage the content on the screen, just …”?
- From the looks of it, the Wi-Fi setup page keeps showing because the Wi-Fi service (in Anthias) performs certain checks to verify if the device is connected to the Internet. If it’s not, it will continue to show the page.
- The source code for these checks needs to be modified.
- In the meantime, make sure to connect it to the Internet via Ethernet, if possible.
- How did you install Anthias? Did you install via the release images or via CLI?
- Could you provide a screenshot of your System Info page? (Please hide any sensitive information if needed.)
The reason that the management screen is telling you to update is that I’ve pushed a few commits yesterday that didn’t trigger the builds. I just pushed one earlier that triggered the builds. You could do an update later when you get the chance.
Thanks, I will give that a look.
If I reduce the duration to 45 seconds this doesn’t happen.
