Anthias on mini pc vs raspberry pi

Hi Everyone i feel like i know the answer but just want to confirm.

i know it’s built for rpi’s bt i have access to mini pc’s theese would be 6th / 7th gen core i5’s with 8gb ram and SSD’s at no cost vs having to purchase rpi’s

if i drop ubuntu or debian on these what are the odds on that Anthias works or is this specific for rasberry pi.

my brain tells me it should work, it’s just massive equipment overkill, but these are already here, and rpi’s are not.

thanks…

Hello, @GaryGNU. Thanks for creating this topic. Anthias doesn’t support x86 devices at the moment but we’re planning to make it compatible with those machines in the future, although we’re not certain how soon the support will be available.

@GaryGNU We just shipped support for x86 devices running Debian (Bookworm). Video playback may be a bit flaky at the moment, but open-source contributions are always welcome.

Amazing. Maybe document how to actually install it so people don’t end up here all frustrated.

After some frustrating attempts the past weeks with several debian and debian based versions i got it running on a x86 debian 12.8 VM in proxmox with passthrough. But i haven’t checked stability yet.
Where can i post what i did?

@wkas, you can share your installation and setup experience in the repository’s discussion section.
