Hi, I tested version 2026.06.0 with Bookworm and with Trixie on a Raspberry Pi 4 8Gb, but in both cases, when I try to rotate from landscape to portrait from the web interface with the new button, nothing happens after the reboot, and it doesn’t seem to work even if I manually edit the config.txt file under boot\firmware\ via SSH as I did before.
Hi @caimano , Thanks for reporting this and for providing details about your setup (Pi 4 8GB, Bookworm, and Trixie).
I’ve tested the version 2026.06.0 To replicate the issue, I can confirm there is indeed a bug with the new screen rotation button. In my testing, the rotation works for video assets but fails to apply to image and web assets.
Could you try adding a video asset to your playlist and see if that specific asset rotates correctly for you? This will help us confirm whether your issue matches exactly what I’m seeing on my end.
We’ll keep the GitHub issue updated as we work on a fix!
@caimano I tested with the latest build v2026.6.0 on a Pi 4 with the fix done by @vpetersson , and I see the splash screen and assets are rotated correctly.
Note: it’s not release yet, so we might need to install with the script and choose the master branch as the base.
Hi @salmanfarisvp, Unfortunately i can’t use the fix of @vpetersson because i don’t know coder. So, if you can send me the files already patched i can try to put them into the right path on raspberry. Best regards.
I’m trying to follow suggestions by @vpetersson . I replaced src/anthias_viewer/init.py with his new github modified file, but i cant find where put test_viewer.py inside raspberry. Can you help me ? Or is this not the procedure?
Regards.
