WIFI Configuration

OK, thank you very much for this wealth of information.

In fact, I looked in ./screenly/bin/ and everywhere in the SD card and didn’t find any

start_wifi_connect.sh

But i belive I may have found what occupies that role in my version : it must be /home/pi/screenly/start_resin_wifi.py

Would you be so kind as to confirm I am tinkering with the right puzzle piece ?

If you have not updated to Anthias since December of 2022, then you dont have the file I am talking about since it is part of the github master repo.

…thus if you dont have it then you must still be using an old version of anthias/screenly-ose, this i cannot help you since i dont go backwards in terms of troubleshooting and dont have your version installed anywhere to even look for what to change…

But yes, that file you mentioned is the one that runs the AP part, but there are other files and services that interact with it, so you will need to do some reverse engineering to see what files or startup services calls up that start resin wifi file and then edit it in a way that will accomplish your offline mode, it could be something as simple as renaming that file so that it never starts, but you might have another file that if it fails to find that file it might cause the whole viewer not to work… good luck.

Yes, I’m in that case and I understand.

Thank you very much for the additional info : I will try that way and in case of success, I will tell here for any other person in my case that might be interested.

Until then, have a good day !
